While last week was all about the Met Gala, this week is all about the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival that was held in France. This festival features new films from around the world that are set to premiere, such as Café Society, Loving, and From the Land of the Moon.
Though many people look forward to hearing about these new films, other people enjoy seeing the glamorous gowns that the stars choose to wear as they grace the red carpet. Celebrities such as Blake Lively, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner were in attendance, and brought this event some of the most stylish red carpet looks of the season.
Here are our favourite red carpet looks from the 2016 Cannes Film Festival!
Blake wore many beautiful dresses during the week long festival, but this bright blue Versace gown was our favourite because it made her look like a true Disney princess. The gown accentuated her baby bump, making us all excited for another child from the Blake Lively-Ryan Reynolds gene pool.
Amal stunned the crowd wearing a one-shoulder silk chiffon gown by Atelier Versace, in a pastel yellow that complimented her skin tone perfectly. She was accompanied by her husband, George Clooney, who looked dapper in a tailored black tuxedo, white shirt, and black bow tie.
Anna Kendrick dazzled in a yellow, custom-made Stella McCartney gown with a plunging neckline. She paired the gown with a diamond statement necklace, along with diamond rings and earrings to form a look that was both elegant and sophisticated.
Bella walked down the red carpet in a gorgeous, nude Robert Cavalli Couture gown accented with metal beads. She paired the gown with a silver collar necklace and matching bracelets to pull the whole ensemble together.
Lupita made a grand entrance at the Cannes Film Festival, wearing a gorgeous jade green custom-made Gucci gown with embellished floral detail on the shoulders and neckline. Her beautiful, dark skin tone allows her to experiment with exquisite colours that always work in her favour.
