Tips & Trends | Best Of the Streets: New York Fashion Week 2017

My favourite week of the year is New York Fashion Week, hands down. No one puts on quite like New York…especially in the streets. The street style has me more captivated than the runway sometimes. This is the time where I get inspired for spring (even though fall is previewed). The overload of style is what gets me excited to look forward to winter coming to an end and a new season beginning – not just weather wise, but style wise as well. Here are 5 of my favourite looks from.

This look is certainly daring and colourful…but it works. The bomber is super on-trend while the bold and oversized dress finishes off this relaxed vibe.

Love, love, and love. These looks validate how special the street style is, how relaxed it is and how stylish it is. It certainly doesn’t lack character either. Each individual has their own vibe they are rockin’ with and that’s what Fashion Week is all about.

Two words. FLOWER POWER! I am currently living for matching sets and structured/tailored suits. This look is beautiful. The flowers keep it feminine and pretty, while the cut and fit gives it some attitude.

All black everything. I had to. From head to toe, she is finessing different textures and materials to make this look chic, rich and flexible. This look is stylish, on trend but unique because of how everything is brought together; from the hat, right down to the boots.

Last but certainly not least, this look took me and my eyes to nostalgia city. I used to wear flowing skirts and dresses with ruffled socks so that’s what caught my eye the most with this look. I love the colours and I love the metallic finish with the shoes. She took a chance and she slayed!
