In the last couple of years, summer music festivals have blown up and become a high profile event, where celebs galore roam the premises. With its newfound popularity, music festivals have become as much about the music as the fashion that comes along with it. Festival outfits are on every attendee’s mind and the struggle of what to wear becomes real. Every festival has its own vibe, and this makes what you decide to wear different for each one. Coachella

Probably the most popular music festival, after Woodstock of course, is the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Its string of star-studded personnel draws the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kendall Jenner yearly, making it a high profile event and paparazzi pictures galore. Held in the desert of Indio, California be prepared to dress for the dry heat! Wearing easy breezy flowing fabrics is key. Do like the queen of Coachella, Vanessa Hudgens, in this look from weekend one, and opt for a patterned kaftan to emulate that bohemian spirit whilst also keeping cool!

Bonnaroo

Bonnaroo’s a true camping festival by being held on a farm and all. It usually has an eclectic line-up, with this year’s ranging from the likes of Tame Impala to J. Cole. Because of its true roots environment, ease is the number one priority when dressing for this festival. Rompers and shorts with flowy tops are definitely the way to go!

Levitation Festival  

Levitation Festival, or formerly known as Austin Psych Fest is a festival held in Austin, TX, dedicated solely to psychedelic music. This year’s line-up is incredible, with Brian Wilson performing the entirety of Pet Sounds along with Animal Collective and Flying Lotus, to name a few. As psychedelic music swirls float in the festival’s air, the festival outfits are also influenced by it. Eclectic mixes of pattern and texture reign supreme and anything goes!

Osheaga

Osheaga Music and Arts Festival is basically the Canadian Coachella. It’s held in Montreal in the beautiful Parc Jean Drapeau and is definitely a festival everyone needs to attend at least once, twice, or three times in their lives! The line-up is always amazing – this year is including Radiohead and Kurt Vile, and the atmosphere is incredible. This is one of the few summer music festivals that doesn’t allow camping as an option, so you have a bit more leeway to get glammed up in your hotel room or Air BnB beforehand. Full boho and fabulous accessories are the way to go!
