Beauty Tips & Trends | How to Fake Long Lashes

Share via:

Not all of us were born with spidery long Kardashian lashes, and frankly, they weren’t either. We can only dream of waking up with the perfect full set of jet black lashes but sadly it isn’t a reality, and in some cases, much like this one, we have to make our dreams come true with a little extra effort.

After trying almost everything to create the perfect set of lashes, we had to come to the realization that a little extra time in our day has to be dedicated to get them how we want. Here are a few of our favourite methods that we swear by!

Falsies

Unfortunately slapping on a pair of fake lashes may not be the most time efficient option, but its totally worth it for an evening out or a super important meeting! Once you’ve tried it a couple times, it comes as second nature and the time spent gluing on a pair of falsies gets cut in half. KISS is a great brand to work with if you’re looking for an everyday wear, or a night out, dramatic eye. Their Blooming Lash line is designed to look incredibly natural and feel light weight. The best part is, they’re reusable – you can stick them on for date night and for brunch the next morning!

Serums

For the amount your lashes will grow, a little swipe on the lash line in the morning and night is so worth it! If you start using serums like Eye Envy or Latisse, your lashes will be Kardashian long in no time. The serums do range in pricing depending on which brand you get, but truthfully they all work quite well. Some may take longer then others to be 100% effective, but give it time and your lashes will look long and fluttery!

Fibres

A recent favourite and a not so common option is fibre lash mascara, and it is amazing. A fibre lash mascara will only alter your routine only slightly, adding an extra 30 seconds to your morning depending on how dramatic you want your lashes that day. Not to mention, it is incredibly easy. Just a quick swipe of the lash gel followed by a brush of lash fibres and one more application of the mascara gel and your lashes have gone from 0 to 100 real quick. The cool part is, you can repeat the steps as many times as you want to create the look you want – butterfly, cat eye, dramatic, the options are honestly unlimited.
