As of right now, Balmain is ahead of the game with its futuristic and detail oriented approach to fashion. If I ever make it big in any way, Olivier Rousteing would be the person I would want to style me. He has dressed women of a spectrum of sizes (which the curvy girl in me loves), and has set Balmain apart from every fashion house. Balmain continues to shatter glass ceilings with their attention to detail and passion for bold and statement pieces. They are unlike anything I have seen in recent years. Seriously, bury me in Balmain. Here are my top five looks from the Spring 2017 Ready-To-Wear Collection.

Green is my favourite colour so I was immediately drawn to this look. My eyes wander in the best way possible. This look has so much movement and beautiful ruching and ruffling. I can’t get over the detail, even in simple looks like this.

Orange and purple happen to be my other favourite colours. The statement belt brings this look together so seamlessly. I love that it has that Balmain aesthetic with a ready-to-wear attitude.

This one screams Balmain. The exact reason why you can set Balmain apart from other houses is because of looks like this. The detail. The pattern. It has that look and feel that I absolutely love.

This look is EVERYTHING. The colour, the mixed textures and fabrics, the movement…I simply love how beautiful this look highlights what Balmain is all about. Taking chances is something most of us are afraid to do as human beings but Olivier always defies the odds with pieces like this.

One word came to mind when I saw this look…”SLAY!!!” The classic black and white with a Balmain touch could never do anybody wrong. I am living for the details and the pattern in this dress that makes it such a bold, statement piece.
