Beauty Tips & Trends | Make-up Kit Must Haves

Some people say make-up is a girl’s best friend, and without sounding superficial, I agree. Whether it is a swipe of mascara, a bit of lip gloss, or a full glam face, make-up can add a teeny bit of confidence to our daily routines. Of course, us beautiful women don’t need make-up to feel confident, but sometimes it helps a little.

Everyone has their own personalized make-up essentials, but here’s a few of our favourites that keep us on point, even on the most overworked days.

Brow Kits

As of a couple years ago, beautiful bold eye brows became the trend. Unfortunately, not everyone was as blessed as Cara Delevigne, but lucky for the rest of us, make-up gods created brow kits in all different ways, shapes and forms. What I mean by that is, based on your preference, you have the option of a pencil, palette, gel or wax. One of our favourites is the Maybelline Brow Drama line. They’ve gone ahead and created each style of brow enhancer in four shades to give you the most perfect match.

Mascara

Perfect lashes are a constant struggle for some of us girls, they never quite work how we want them – until you find the perfect mascara. Finding your favourite mascara can be a game changer. It’ll speed up your morning routine and widen up those sleepy eyes, but the key is actually finding it! Mascara is a total preference based on you, but one of our favourites is Dior’s Diorshow. Available in eight shades from basic black to magenta, it’ll have your lashes looking long and thick in a very quick swipe.

Concealer

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up with perfect air-brushed looking skin? Sadly thats not a reality for anyone, even in the supermodel world. Just like us, they have to cover up dark circles or blemishes with a little bit of concealer, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. By choosing a shade slightly lighter then your foundation to give a brighter look under the eye, concealer can hide even the most tired of eyes. Charlotte Tilbury has created the Miracle Eye Wand, with her miracle eye cream on one end and concealer on the other. The five shade product glides on and leaves your skin with a long lasting refreshed look – it really is a miracle.

Lipstick

Some say a girl should have every shade of lipstick in their makeup kit – a red, a pink, a burgundy…. but I happen to disagree. Lipstick should be something that you feel most comfortable wearing. Of course, every now and then it’s fun to experiment with colour, but for day-to-day, choose colours that you are most confident in. For me, my entire make-up kit is filled with nudes and light pinks because thats what I feel my best in, and that’s what make-up is for, right? A personal favourite is Nude Stix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil, and with eight shades of beautiful colours, it’s impossible not to find one you love!
