The green beauty industry is quickly growing as more and more people are becoming aware of the dangerous ingredients that are found in our daily personal care products. Whether it’s for health reasons, ethical reasons, or just a desire to learn more about this growing industry, I highly recommend that everyone stop by this store at least once. Since there are so many amazing products available, one visit may not even be enough!

Located at 420 King St. West, the store is large and filled with light, and reclaimed wooden tables and recycled crates are used to display rows upon rows of makeup, haircare, skincare and lifestyle goodies. It can be a little overwhelming the first time you enter the store, especially if you’re just beginning to learn about the green beauty industry. Not to worry though, because the highly educated staff are super friendly and are able to answer all of your questions. If you’re looking to try out new products, they’ll even provide product recommendations tailored to your skin concerns.

If you’re a little more hands-on and independent, all the products on display can be tested out Sephora-style as you browse (which is a definite plus when you’re looking for the perfect shade of new lipstick!). So whether you’re new to the green beauty world or are already a fan, a trip to The Detox Market is definitely needed the next time you’re in Downtown Toronto!
