For those of you who say, “I’m not a hat person“ well, you’re wrong. This season hats are becoming a huge street style trend and with the variety of styles coming out you’re bound to find a hat style that suits you. Here are five hat trends that will have you saying, “I’m a hat person” this winter 2015.

The Brimmed Hat

The brimmed hat trend is a Robin Hood inspired trend for this winter 2015, but don’t be fooled by the comparison because it is still a very popular hat trend. These hats come in a variety of shapes, sizes and a variety of colours. Originally these hats were used to protect your face from the sun and keep the cold away from your face. Designers such as Ralph Lauren are designing wide brimmed fedoras that are just uniquely beautiful and perfect for this time of year. These oversized works of art are perfect if you want to class up your look for the winter.

Boho casual

The boho casual look is all about being as effortless as possible. If you want to make your outfit look super casual this winter 2015 get a boho inspired hat. I think the best part about this style trend is you don’t really have to try hard to look fabulous. For me, the less I have to do to look good the better, so don’t do your hair and just throw a hat over your head and voila you suddenly look like boho chic lady. Trust me it works, I personally do it all the time.

French Berets

French inspired designs have taken the fashion world by storm this winter 2015. One fashion trend in particular that has been seen on the runway are berets, these simple French hats come in a variety of colours that will suit whatever mood you’re in this winter. These lovely accessories will go with anything in your winter wardrobe such as tartan wraps and plunging V-neck spaghetti strapped shirts made by Gucci that will certainly add a certain “je ne sais pas,” to your outfit.

Fitted beanie

Fitted beanies are a classic staple for the fall and winter months, beanies are incredibly cozy and will hide those bad hair days. If you’re going for a casual “ I just woke up look”, the perfect way to achieve that is by throwing on a beanie, a pair jeans, a plain tee and an oversized cardigan, this outfit will look great for those study buddy dates at the library.

Little black hat

Last but not least, I believe that just like every woman should have a little black dress, every woman should also have a little black hat. I have said this to myself countless times while shopping “It’s black, it goes with everything” and we have all said it to ourselves at least once or twice before. So whether it’s a brimmed hat, beanie, beret or a boho inspired masterpiece of a hat and it’s black, go for it girl.
