Tips & Trends | 2017 Holiday Party Style Guide

Anh Pham

RSVP to those party invites, ladies and gentlemen! The best way to ring in the holidays is with style! I have conveniently provided you with 3 guidelines of what’s looking to be the most trendy this 2017 holiday season. Now, if you’re a rebel like me, you may not feel inclined to follow these closely, but it would be super sweet if you did. I won’t require credit but when you sleigh (get it?) at your holiday party, tell your fans Designer Swap helped you out ;).

1. Pop Of Green

Ladies, I would have never thought in a million years that green would be a prominent colour in my wardrobe, but it is! I mostly side with an olive green, but I am open to other shades as well. Pairing neutrals with a green not only makes you stand out like Beyonce did in Destiny’s Child, it also adds a pop of colour that is very festive and holiday appropriate.

2. Flowy

I love me a flowy skirt or dress, let me tell you. I will twirl that thing until it has no twirl left in it! There’s something particularly festive about the way a flowy piece looks around this time. I’m not sure what it is but I am most certainly here for it!

3. Glitter/Suit

Ahhhh, for my corporate gals, this one’s for you. Don’t be afraid to sparkle at your office party – you deserve to! If you’re a hard working woman, you should show it! Nothing says “Happy Holidays” quite like glitter either. If it’s done right, it can be tasteful to have a standout piece like a glimmering jacket or pair of pants! Heck, if you want to look like a lit up Christmas tree, I give you my blessing!
