Spring 2019 Wardrobe: The Pleated Skirt

If you were like me, when you were a kid, your wardrobe was pleated everything. Pleats would help add “adorable” to the list of adjectives to describe your childhood couture. But low and behold…mama dearest was right…pleats are the fashion trend you must add to your wardrobe this season! 

In case you are not going for “adorable”, here are a few ways to add a bit of edge to your pleated skirt:

1. Pair your pleated skirt with an oversized sweater and a chic boy bag like the Chanel one seen here.  

• Go for an adorablelong pleated skirt and a plain t-shirt but swag up the ankles with ankle boots or strappy pumps like the Louboutins seen here.  

• Be bold with different shades and textures of black like pairing a black loosely pleated skirt with a black oversized handbag like the one seen hereand black leather booties like these here.   

So do not fear the pleat. Embrace it. And own the adorable look. Until next time…
