Fall is one of my favourite seasons to dress for. It’s true that the weather can be unpredictable, but it also gives you a chance to be creative when it comes to your wardrobe. Accessorizing can make or break your ensemble, and I think great accent accessories can create a bold statement. Recently, I have been experimenting with various colours, patterns, and using different accessories to create different outfits with the same pieces. It’s been really helping me to reduce the amount of shopping I do, and experiment and work with pieces I already have. This fall 2018 has some great trends when it comes to the accessorizing department this season that will have your fashion brain thinking in ways you didn’t think were possible.

Leather Headbands and Hoops

Leather headbands band and hoop earrings have been around forever, but have you ever thought of combining the two? At first, you may think that these two accessories may not pair well together, but you would be wrong. I think you could really dress up or dress down these two accessories and this look works great when you’re super lazy (like me)! Ask my friends! I hate getting ready so this look would definitely appeal to someone similar to me. Don’t feel like doing your hair when you go out? Through it up in a messy bun and add a leather headband and some hoop earring to draw attention to your face and jazz up your look!

Carpet Bag

I think carpet bags can be super cute when planning to accessorize with a fall outfit. They all have very unique textures, patterns, and colours to make for one great staple fashion accessory throughout the fall and into the winter. Short on cash but really want a carpet bag? Do it yourself. I have seen a couple of great tutorials online that can help you create the vision for your very own bag. Embellished Clutch 

I think an embellished clutch is a great way to really class up a formal look. Clutch bags are also very useful for carrying only the essentials. It is a great way of minimizing the things you carry with you during the day and only fitting the essentials that you need for a night out on the town. Make yourself feel a little fancy this fall by adding a gorgeous embellished clutch to your wardrobe. It is a fun way to make a simple outfit chic and really set the town for a more formal occasion at night.

Velvet Mules

I really love the practicality and the versatility of this type of shoe. They are easy to slip on when you’re in a hurry in the morning, but also make for a great staple shoe for your wardrobe. Last year it was all about the black mule! Which looks amazing and timeless, but let’s kick it up a notch this time with a velvet mule. I think they are a great way to make your shoe the focus of your outfit. It adds a great pop of colour and texture to a more muted outfit.

Visors

Visors can be very fun and sporty for the fall. Taking a hike out during a hot fall day? Throw on a pair of swishy pants, a crop top and a visor and you’re good to go. Don’t forget to pair it with your favourite pair of worn out sneakers so you’re comfy during your hike, but at least you’ll look good while doing it.
