Men’s Style Guide | Top 5 Nike Collabs in 2018

With winter in full effect and boots still being worn every day, there is something to look forward for the 2018 sneaker season – Nike collabs. Nike is my favourite shoe brand of all time. It’s not a surprise that 2017 was very successful for them, collaborating with major streetwear brands (OFF-WHITE, Supreme, VLONE), celebrities (Travi$ Scott), and influencers (Sean Wotherspoon).

2018 will be even better with new and continuing collabs. Here are my top five Nike collabs I’m really excited for this year.

5. Levi’s x Air Jordan 4

Release Date: January 17, 2018

Price: $225 USD

Levi’s is entering the world of streetwear and sneakers in full force. If you think their collab with Vetements last year was a hit, wait till these come out. The shoe is dressed up in a denim outer, including the Air Jordan branding and Levi’s signature red tab. For those who don’t love blue denim, there will also be a black denim version of the shoe releasing.

The collection also includes a fully reversible Trucker Jacket with denim on one side and nylon on the other. Check out the Levi’s x Jordan store list to find out where you can get the full collection.

4. Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez “Kenny I”

Release Date: January 26, 2018 via Nike’s SNKRS app

Price: $100 USD

While performing during the 2018 NCAA College Football National Championship, Kendrick Lamar gave fans a sneak peek of his new Nike Cortez sneaker called the Kenny I, which boasts the ‘DAMN.’ logo on the side and tongue of each shoe. ‘DAMN.’ Is a reference to his hugely successful album that released in April 2017. Don’t forget to download Nike’s SNKRS app to get your own pair.

3. OFF WHITE x Nike

Release Date: 2018

Price: Rumoured to range from $160-$250 USD

It’s no surprise that OFF WHITE founder Virgil Abloh is collaborating with Nike again after the overwhelming success of “The Ten” collection.

Although no information has been officially confirmed yet, pictures have surfaced on social media of four new sneakers, including the popular VaporMax style in black/tonal orange/clear and white/tonal orange/black, as well as the Air Jordan 1 style in white/white and university blue.

Other styles rumoured to release are the Air Prestos in black/white and white/black, and Air Force 1 ’07 in black/msilv.

2. John Elliott x Nike Vandal High

Release Date: 2018

Price: TBA

After releasing the sail and anthracite colourways of the Vandal High style, John Elliott and Nike are keeping it minimal and clean with three new colourways – black, white and red. Both the red and black colourways are made of a premium suede upper, similar to sail and anthracite, while the white colourway is made of a leather upper. Don’t miss out on these beauties.

1. Fear of God x Nike

Release Date: 2018

Price: TBA

Founder of Fear of God (FOG), Jerry Lorenzo, confirmed on Instagram through a comment that the partnership with Vans is no more and that the next collaboration will be with Nike. It’s rumoured that the Air Presto will be the shoe of choosing. With FOG making huge waves in the fashion and sneaker industry, make sure you grab yourself a pair when they release!
