It’s almost February – the season of love. You know what that means? Love notes, love letters and in the case of Mr. Big from Sex and the City, love faxes are being signed, sealed and delivered! Paris Fashion Week just came to a sweet end and EVERYONE is talking about Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren’s brilliant and gush-worthy collection of of “fashion statements.” So, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, don’t bother with a love note, love letter or love fax (does anyone fax anymore these days?). Instead, gift me with one of these gorgeous gowns!

There are people in this world who have the ability to say the things that everyone is thinking, but maybe too afraid to say it. When they say it, that sigh of relief is of sweet bliss like no other; something you only experience every now and then. Sometimes they are with words and sometimes they are through fashion statements (which is ironically what the collection was called). Ladies and gentlemen, Viktor & Rolf did just THAT!

Vogue states: “altogether, the collection showcased Viktor & Rolf in the brand’s finest, sweet-meets-sinister form. As a fashion statement, it was ironic in attitude; historically inspired and Pop in presentation; detail obsessed and sophisticated in execution.” (Vogue). 

Runway shows have transformed from tradition. These days, designers focus on debuting a collection through more than just the cat-walk. This can either take away from the clothing or add to it. While I love this modern take on a runway show, Viktor & Rolf didn’t need to put on a spectacle. All they needed was the clothes. AND THAT IS FASHION! Their collection did all the talking, LITERALLY.
